Résumé Le présent article est une réflexion portée sur l’un des points constitutifs de la gouvernance démocratique au Gabon. Il s’agit des dialogues politiques, régulièrement tenus dans ce pays depuis la conférence nationale de 1990. En effet, après cette première grande rencontre politique, symbole du retour du multipartisme pluraliste et des perspectives d’alternance au sommet de l’Etat, la démocratie gabonaise est jalonnée d’interminables dialogues entre les acteurs politiques, au point de s’ériger en règle non écrite. Ils sont organisés le lendemain de chaque élection présidentielle, dont les résultats sont systématiquement contestés, pour apaiser les tensions et redéfinir les meilleures conditions d’organisation des élections et de transparence. Pour comprendre cette réalité, nous examinerons les objectifs visés par chacune des forces en présence et les possibilités de sortie des cycles élections-contestations-dialogues. Mots-clés Crise postélectorale - Dialogue politique - Décrispation - Gabon- Gouvernance politique Abstract This article reflects on one of the key elements of democratic governance in Gabon: the political dialogues that have been held regularly in the country since the 1990 national conference. Indeed, after this first major political meeting, which symbolised the return of pluralistic multiparty politics and the prospect of change at the top of the state, Gabonese democracy has been marked by endless dialogues between political actors, to the point where it has become an unwritten rule. These dialogues are organised the day after each presidential election, the results of which are systematically contested, in order to ease tensions and redefine the best conditions for organising elections and ensuring transparency. To understand this reality, we will examine the objectives of each of the forces involved and the possibilities for breaking out of the cycle of elections, disputes and dialogues.
